Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Jagdishpur village under the police station area on Tuesday night.

Due to a domestic dispute and his wife not returning from her in-laws' house, a 32-year-old youth ended his life by hanging himself. After receiving the information, Lalapur police handed over the body for cremation after mutual consent of the family members.

According to the information received, Gyan Chandra Nishad, 32 years old, son of Gulab Chandra Nishad, resident of Jagdishpur, was having a dispute with his wife Uma Devi over some issue. According to sources, Gyan Chandra had gone to his in-laws' house to pick up his wife, but he was quite upset after not returning with Uma Devi.

At night he committed suicide by hanging himself inside the house. Local people also say that the deceased was a drug addict, due to which there was often a tense situation in the house, due to which the wife was angry with her husband's actions.

Deceased Gyanchandra has left behind four young daughters, all below 5 years of age. After the death of their father, the shadow has been lifted from the heads of these innocent people. The deceased's father Gulab Chandra Nishad has two sons and a daughter, out of which the untimely death of Gyan Chandra has created an uproar in the entire family.

As soon as information about the incident was received, SSI Bhupendra Singh Chauhan and light in-charge Amit Yadav reached the spot with heavy police force. Police inspected the spot and took the body into custody.

The deceased and the in-laws mutually decided not to conduct the post-mortem. After written consent in the presence of the village head, the police handed over the body to the family for cremation.

SSI Bhupendra Singh Chauhan told the people that if illegal drug trade is happening anywhere in the area that has come out of drug addiction, it should be stopped otherwise strict action will be taken if caught.
