Jagran correspondent, Lakhimpur. A day earlier in Jaunpur, a major accident took place in the city, the day after the death of a bike-riding physiotherapist who had his throat slit by a Chinese manjha. A rural youth, who had come to the city from his village to collect goods, got his neck cut by a Chinese boat while passing through an over bridge.

What happened was that the speed of his bike was not fast, still he got a deep wound in his neck, he fell on the overbridge along with the bike, people picked him up and sent him for treatment, where his condition is fine now.

The big question is that after so many accidents why the police and administration are not banning Chinese floats and kites flying across the overbridge. Chinese Manjha is being sold openly in the market but no one is seeing it.

This is the whole matter

Guddu Verma, a resident of Lilakuan village adjacent to the city, was going to the city market on Thursday afternoon to buy some household items. At around 2 o'clock, when he was passing through the overbridge in the middle of the city on his bike, a kite flyer's string came and wrapped around his neck. Grinded his neck.

It was good that Guddu's bike was not very fast and as soon as he hugged Manja, he applied the brakes, due to which he fell on the bridge along with the bike. During this time Manjha passed away rubbing his neck. As soon as he fell, many people gathered and picked him up and brought him to the side of the road. He was taken to a private doctor where he is out of danger.

But the question is not just that. When dangerous manja is being sold openly then why is there no concern about it? Why are the police and administration people unaware of the danger of Manjha? Why is the municipality or police not imposing a ban on flying kites over the over bridge? All these questions can give rise to a major fatal accident someday, such possibilities cannot be denied.

The matter has come to notice. On Friday, a campaign will be run across the district to stop the sale of banned Manjha. Wherever this manja is found, action will be taken against the shopkeeper by destroying it.
