Sansu, Sahaso (Prayagraj). There was panic when a blood-soaked body of a young man was found on the roadside at around 4 am on Sunday morning in Babuganj market of Gangapar. Phulpur Kotwali police reached the spot after getting information and took the body into custody. According to the police, prima facie the case appears to be a road accident, although all aspects are being investigated.
Left by train from Mumbai on 20th February
The youth has been identified as 30-year-old Surendra Gautam, son of Amritlal, resident of Gohka village, Machhilishahar police station, Jaunpur district. After identification based on the documents found with him, the police informed the family members. They reached here crying and told the police that Surendra was working in a private company in Mumbai for five months. On February 20, he left for home by train from Mumbai.
Had talked to family members on mobile at night
Family members told that Surendra had talked on the phone at around 11:30 pm on Saturday night. Told that he was boarding a bus from Civil Lines bus stand to go to Jaunpur. When wife Preeti called late at night, she got information about the accident. Due to this the family members became inconsolable.
Police is finding out through CCTV
According to Phulpur police, Surendra had two bags. A bag was found in a roadways bus. Mobile phone, Rs 700 cash and train ticket were found in his pocket. The footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site is being scrutinized. Kotwali in-charge Sheshnath Pal said that prima facie the matter appears to be an accident. Based on the complaint of the relative, a case has been registered and investigation is being done. The exact cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report comes.
