1 rupee more fee than lead actor
Amrish Puri had a huge stature in Hindi cinema. Puri Saheb, who started his acting career as a lead hero in movies like Nishant and Manthan, very soon realized that he could outweigh everyone as a villain and soon he started playing negative roles in movies. Within no time, due to his villainous avatar and strong acting, he started proving inferior to the lead hero in front of him.

In an interview given to news agency ANI, actor Saurabh Shukla had shared an interesting anecdote about Amrish Puri. He told-
“I met Amrish Puri sir for the first time on the sets of the film Nayak. For me he was a big superstar because his aura was different from everyone else. His specialty was that he used to charge one rupee more than the lead hero of the movie. Not only this, he did not have any secretary (manager).
Only a make-up man lived with him. When I asked him that Sir, don't you have many staff, he said that I am crazy, do I earn money and why should I spend it unnecessarily on staff. Not only this, he used to come to the set by driving his own car.
This statement of Saurabh Shukla makes it clear that Amrish Puri was undoubtedly a big star, but he did not flaunt his stardom. This is the reason why Puri Sahab's unique and unique style makes his personality very special.
Amrish Puri's golden acting career
Amrish Puri started his acting career in 1970. In 45 years he had worked in more than 450 movies. His popular films include many great movies like Jaani Dushman, Tehelka, Mr. India, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Garv. It is known that the name of his last film was Kachchi Sadak, which was released in 2006, about a year after his death.
