If yes, then the government has taken a big and important step to increase the reliability and safety of these medicines. Union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav has informed that 108 laboratories have been approved to ensure the quality of these medicines. This simply means that now the AYUSH medicines available in the market will be tested more strictly.

According to the AYUSH Minister, all these 108 labs are approved or licensed under 'Drugs Rules, 1945'. Let us tell you, the government has not only approved new laboratories, but has also strengthened the existing infrastructure:
Misleading advertisements will be controlled
It is often seen that exaggerated claims are made regarding medicines. To stop this, the government has implemented a special monitoring program, which works under the 'Ayush Medicine Quality and Production Promotion Scheme' (AOGUSY).
For this, a network has been prepared at three levels:
The main function of these centers is to monitor misleading advertisements and report them to the state authorities, so that appropriate action can be taken against those making false claims. Additionally, its purpose is to protect consumers.

The budget for the scheme is Rs 122 crore
To make AYUSH pharmacy and drug testing labs of high standard, the government has made a financial allocation of Rs 122.00 crore for five years from 2021-22 to 2025-26 under the AOGUSY scheme. It is expected that there will be a big improvement in the quality of manufacturing and testing of AYUSH medicines.
