Samvad Sahayak, Jagran, Rudraprayag. Triyuginarayan Temple: Seven marriage ceremonies were performed simultaneously on the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami at Triyuginarayan Temple, the sacred marriage venue of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. The bride and groom took seven rounds amid snowfall.
Of these seven marriages, two marriages were of couples coming from West Bengal, two marriages of couples from Maharashtra and three marriages of brides and grooms coming from different districts of Uttarakhand. All the couples considered it a matter of good fortune to get married at the wedding venue of Shiva and Parvati.
On the occasion of the wedding, snow kept falling in the temple premises. Despite this, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the bride and groom, relatives and tourists. Irrespective of the cold, the marriage rituals were performed and there was a lot of activity in the temple premises.
Triyuginarayan Temple Committee Secretary Sarveshwar Bhatt said that a total of seven marriages were scheduled in the temple on the occasion of Vasant Panchami. He said that despite the severe cold, the newly married couples took the rounds amidst the snow.
