Girl molested and beaten and thrown from moving car
Jagran correspondent, Kolkata. A sensational incident that puts friendship to shame has come to light in Behala area of the metropolis. On Saturday night on Diamond Harbor Road, a 20-year-old girl was not only assaulted and molested by her own friend in a moving car, but also threw her out of the moving vehicle on the road. However, alert policemen showed promptness and chased the accused for about two kilometers and arrested him.
According to the police, the entire incident started around 5.30 pm on Saturday evening. The victim, a resident of Haridevpur, told in her complaint that the accused Arnav Sao (18) had taken her away in his car.
On the way, an argument started between the two over some issue, which soon turned violent. The victim alleges that Arnav held her hostage inside the car and beat her for about two kilometers between Bagir Khal to Behala Chowrasta.
In her statement to the police, the girl said that the accused abused her, insulted her dignity and threw her out of the moving car while threatening to kill her. This incident, which happened in a busy area like Behala Chowrasta, created a stir. The police team present at the spot immediately swung into action and chased the car of the accused and surrounded and caught him.
Police arrested the accused, also seized the car
Police have arrested the accused Arnav Sao and seized his car. A case has been registered against the accused under sections of kidnapping, assault, molestation and criminal intimidation. The police are currently investigating the matter in detail so that the main reason behind the dispute can be found out.
