11 Stalls Opened In The Amusement Park Of Surajkund Fair, Ban On Kids Zone Shops Continues

The Surajkund Fair management has given permission to open the initial 11 stalls.

Jagran correspondent, Faridabad. The operators who set up food carts in the premises of Surajkund Fair have got relief. They have been given permission to set up their stall. Dainik Jagran had raised the issue of stall operators, after which the fair management took cognizance and gave permission to open the first 11 stalls. However, the swings and stalls located in the kids zone are still closed. The stall operators of the Kids Zone are also demanding another place in the fair premises. Many people were injured when the swing broke at 6:15 pm on Saturday evening in the amusement park, while Inspector Jagdish Prasad sacrificed his life while saving the people. In view of security at the spot, all the stalls including swings were closed. Due to which the operators are facing financial loss. The stall operators of the Kids Zone are demanding another location.

Some stall operators want to leave the fair with their goods, but they are not being allowed to leave the fair premises with their goods. Some stall operators say that the goods should be shifted to another place. Booking was done by paying lakhs of rupees.

Relief from opening of food court

The food court located at the amusement park was started at around 2 pm on Monday. The closed road has also been opened. Director Shravan Kumar said that the fair authority has given permission to run 11 food stalls. The contract was taken for Rs 10 lakh. Under this, five lakh rupees were deposited. There has been a lot of damage due to the accident. Now there is relief with the permission to open stalls.

We also got permission to open stall

Stall operator Abhishek told that he had come from Auraiya to set up a stall in the fair. Two stalls were booked by paying Rs 3 lakh to the contractor. Meanwhile, an accident happened on Saturday. They say that they are not being allowed to take goods from the fair nor are they being allowed to set up stalls. On the other hand, the second stall operator Hansraj says that the stall has been closed after the incident in the fair. The goods are kept packed due to fear of getting spoiled, the administration is not allowing the shops to open.

Permission has been given to open 11 stalls allotted by the authority. There is no update yet regarding opening of other stalls. The stalls around the incident site are under investigation. -Harvinder Singh Yadav, nodal officer of the fair
