According to a survey conducted by LocalCircles, 76% of Indians believe that one or more people in their close network (such as family, friends, colleagues and neighbors) are obese. This survey not only shows the dire situation of obesity, but is also warning about the diseases related to it.

In the survey, people were asked how many people in their close network were obese. The figures that came in response are as follows:

The survey was conducted through the LocalCircles platform, receiving over 50,000 responses from 319 districts across India.

This survey clearly shows that obesity is no longer just an individual problem but has become a social concern.
