35 Thousand Consumers Got Benefit, Rs 32 Crore Deposited, First Phase Of OTS Scheme Successful In Mainpuri

Jagran correspondent, Mainpuri. Mainpuri has registered its strong presence in the first phase of One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS) operated under Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (DVVNL). It has secured the second position leaving behind the circle districts. In the first phase which ran from December 1, 2025 to January 3, 2026, 35 thousand consumers registered themselves. The department has received an amount of Rs 32 crore from depositing the outstanding amount.

This time, OTS is being operated from the government level to provide relief to never-paid and long-unpaid defaulters as well as consumers suffering from electricity theft. After the completion of the first phase on January 3, Superintending Engineer Electrical Mukesh Kumar made the achievement public. He said that 1,53,379 consumers have a total loan of Rs 328 crore. This number is only of never paid (not paid till date) and long unpaid (not paid for a long time) defaulters only.

Mainpuri is at second position in DVVNL circle.

In the first phase, 35 thousand NeverPaid have registered themselves and deposited the outstanding amount. This time an amount of Rs 32 crore has been received from them. A total of 28 circles operate in 21 districts under Dakshinanchal. Among these circles, Mainpuri district has stood second, while Firozabad Rural Circle has stood first.

First in Hannukheda sub-centre district

In the first phase of OTS, Hannukheda sub-centre stood first among the 56 sub-centres of the district. Departmental officers and employees have collected revenue of Rs 1.76 crore after conducting 1406 registrations. Superintending Engineer Mukesh Kumar has said that this achievement has been achieved due to the efforts of Junior Engineer in-charge of the sub-centre Bijendra Kumar and the line staff.
