Unveiling of 41 feet statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Panchkula.
Jagran correspondent, Panchkula. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday unveiled the 41-foot statue of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee in MDC Sector-1. This statue has been prepared at Maturam Art Center in Manesar.
This good quality statue has been prepared by Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority Act in a record 25 days. KM Pandurang, Director General of Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department, is the CEO of Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority. This statue of the former Prime Minister was unveiled on the eve of his birth anniversary, which was witnessed by all the ministers of Haryana Government, MPs and MLAs along with the general public.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also stood and watched a short film based on the biography of the former Prime Minister. Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the statue and called upon the youth to take inspiration from the ideals and lifestyle of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Atal Smriti Park will be developed by Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority in an area of 21 thousand square. Its poet will be Atal Dwar. Kavi Smriti Chaupal will be built. The pillars of heritage will be improved here. Here every area will be created with a clear objective, so that the coming generations can take inspiration from the thoughts of Atal ji.
This will include Fragrance Garden, Artwork Garden, Theater Sanskrit Garden, Children's Science, Forest Garden, Atal Gallery, Yoga Garden, Jogging Track, organized kiosk and other facilities. Many politicians including Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli and Chandigarh state BJP leader Sanjay Tandon participated in the program.
