6 Arrested For Hunting Nilgai In Farrukhabad, Weapon And Vehicle Seized, Case Registered

Jagran Correspondent, Farrukhabad. The Forest Department team caught six people who were hunting Vanaroz or Nilgai in Rohila area. The bodies of two wild boars, which had been skinned, were recovered from them. Rs 2390, five mobile phones, a gun, knife, axe, two bikes and a pickup loader have been seized from the accused.

Five of the accused are from Firozabad district, while one accused is from Mohammadabad area. A case has been registered by the Forest Department under the Wildlife Protection Act and the accused have been sent to jail. On Friday evening, Asif, Imamuddin Ali, resident of Mohammadi Masjid, Sixty Foot Road, Ramgarh, Firozabad, Shiva, resident of Shahzadpur Didauli, Nazirpur, Shahbaz, resident of Kohinoor Road, Ramgarh, Abdul Shakur, along with Aryansh, resident of Malokhar, Mohammadabad, were hunting wild rose in Rohilla forest block area.

The accused were preparing to hunt the third wild boar

After hunting and skinning two wild boars, he was preparing to hunt the third wild boar, when on the instructions of District Forest Officer Rajiv Kumar, Regional Forest Officer Anoop Kumar along with Forest Inspector Tabish Ahmed, Amit Kumar, Rahul Saxena, Forest Guard Sachin Kumar, Mohit Saxena raided and caught all the people who were hunting.

Medical examination of the accused was done at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Saturday morning. The regional forest officer said that the bodies of two wild boars were buried in a pit in the ground after post-mortem.
