State Bureau, Ranchi. BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev has said that Hemant Soren has cheated the tribal people of Jharkhand by promising a local policy based on the Khatian of 1932. The public has every right to know why the government could not bring even a single local planning policy even after six long years in power.
Till date, neither cut off date has been declared, nor Khatian based policy has been made, nor have the youth found any concrete path. This government only gives assurance and then remains silent on it. Pratul said that a drama was played by withdrawing support from Arjun Munda government in 2012 on the issue of Khatian based policy of 1932. Then this was real public sentiment for him.
Despite holding the post of Chief Minister for six years, he has nothing to say. The government is repeatedly misleading the public on Khatian based planning. In six years, the files kept gathering dust and the government kept dusting off the speeches. The youth of the state are asking why the same policy for which support was withdrawn in 2012 was not worked on till 2025?

Rejecting BJP's allegations, Vinod Pandey said that BJP leaders should first tell what work it did on Khatian based local policy during its long rule of 18 years. Why did BJP governments remain silent for years on the issues on which questions are being raised today? The present government has worked in a planned manner keeping in mind the employment of local youth, transparent appointment process and social justice. Policy making is a constitutional process. The government has taken it forward responsibly.
It is well known that BJP leaders work to stall the decisions of Hemant government related to the development and identity of Jharkhand. On the issue of giving 75% contracts to local people, Vinod Pandey said that BJP is distorting the facts.
