Jagran correspondent, Meerut. Sanjay Chaudhary, a patient admitted in the ICU on the second floor of the city's Popular Hospital, reached the bathroom alone at around 10 pm on Friday night and broke the glass and jumped down. He was immediately taken to emergency where doctors declared him dead.
The death of anemia patient Sanjay Chaudhary has also raised questions on the safety of the ICU in the popular hospital. The director of the hospital, Dr. Rohit Ravindra himself is saying that if the patient was roaming in the ICU, then why did the staff not stop him. How did Sanjay go out of the ICU, where was the security of the hospital at that time. The family members have also raised questions that they were not allowed to see the patient in the ICU, then how did the patient leave the ICU. The wife said that Sanjay was brought to the hospital alive and will be taken as he is. They allege that the hospital management is responsible for Sanjay's death.
Relatives did not allow the body to be taken out of the hospital for three hours
After the death of Sanjay Chaudhary, wife and family members started creating ruckus in the hospital. They did not allow the body to be lifted for post-mortem. He said that a case of murder should be registered against the hospital administration because Sanjay died due to their negligence. CO Abhishek Tiwari said that the CCTV footage of the hospital is being watched. How Sanjay Chaudhary reached the bathroom from ICU and jumped from there. Efforts are also being made to find out the cause of death. A case will be registered after receiving the family's complaint. Police sent the body for postmortem.
First Sanjay used to work in Noida, now in Meerut
Sanjay Chaudhary used to work in Microtech Battery company in Meerut. Earlier he lived with his family in Noida. After being transferred to Meerut, he started living in a rented house with his brother-in-law. He also has a son. Wife Jyoti and family members are also shocked by Sanjay's sudden death. He says that there is no question of committing suicide. Why did this suddenly come to Sanjay's mind?
