A minor was driving a truck on the elevated road, there was a jam after the accident
Jagran Correspondent, Baghpat: A major accident was averted on the elevated road. A teenager was driving a truck transporting bricks in dense fog and his father was sitting next to him. The truck went out of control and collided with another truck moving ahead. The driver, Kishore, got trapped between the body and steering of the truck. He has suffered serious injury to his leg. Father also got injured. With great effort he was taken out of the truck. It was fortunate that there was distance between other vehicles, otherwise a major accident would have occurred if several vehicles collided. There was traffic jam for about one and a half hour due to the accident.
An empty truck was running on the elevated road from Delhi towards Baghpat at around 6.15 am on 27th December. After reaching village Dundahera, the truck went out of control and collided with the truck moving ahead. Due to this the cabin of the truck was badly damaged. The truck driver got trapped between the body and steering. Hearing his scream, passengers in other vehicles reached near the truck and the drivers were surprised to see a 14-year-old teenager. His father was sitting next to him. The passengers took the driver Kishore out of the truck with great effort for about an hour. There was a long line of vehicles on the road. The injured were sent to Khekra CHC. On referral by the doctors, the relatives admitted the injured father and son to a private hospital. Police reached the spot and investigated. Passengers had to face problems due to jams in winter and fog. After the accident, the passengers made a video of the driver Kishore trapped in the truck and circulated it on the internet media.
In the fog, a truck transporting bricks collided with another truck, which was being driven by a teenager from a village in Baraut Kotwali area. His father was sitting nearby. Both father and son were injured. Legal action will be taken after investigation.

There is a provision of a fine of Rs 25,000 and jail for the guardian for driving a vehicle by a minor. Based on the police report, the license of the minor's father will be suspended if he drives a truck.
