Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. In Sahabajpur Army Colony of Ahiyapur police station area, miscreants shot a soldier's son late in the night. Hearing the sound of gunshot, seeing the local people gathering, they ran away.
Local people have admitted the bullet injured youth to Maa Janaki Hospital in Bairia for treatment. The victim is Shivam Kumar, 19 year old son of Umesh Kumar. Here, the police reached the spot and started investigating the case.
Police are investigating the reasons behind the incident. Police kept searching for cartridges at the spot. However, there is anger among the local people regarding the incident of shooting of the youth.
People said that due to lack of local police patrolling, the courage of the miscreants is high. Some places, including Lichi Gachhi, became dens of smackier ones. Police does not arrive even after complaint. People said that even after giving information, the police does not reach on time.
People told that the distance of SDPO office from the incident spot is just 500 meters. Still there was delay in reaching the police. According to Ahiyapur Police, the criminals involved in the incident will soon be identified.
The CC cameras installed around the incident site are being examined. Police administration has been deployed in the locality. Further action will be taken after recording the statement of the injured or their relatives.
