Siege of RIMS DIG ground intensifies, people face problems due to closure of road
Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. The management has expedited the work of boundary construction around the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) DIG Ground. In order to completely control encroachment, the RIMS administration has also put up information boards in various parts of the grounds, in which it has been made clear that this land is the property of RIMS and legal action will be taken against any kind of encroachment.
In the same sequence, the road leading from Pharma College towards RIMS Road has also been closed. The road has been excavated in front of the demolished apartment for the construction of the boundary, due to which the common people had to face a lot of traffic problems on Thursday. Local people say that this route was being used for years, hence an alternative route should have been arranged during the boundary construction.
However, RIMS management seems to be in no mood to show any laxity this time. The administration says that this land belongs to RIMS and as per the instructions of the High Court, its clear demarcation and protection is necessary.
It is known that after the order of Jharkhand High Court a few months ago, more than 90 acres of RIMS land was made encroachment free. Despite this, remains and ruins of encroached houses are still standing at many places, which have not been completely demolished.
The management claims that once the boundary construction is completed, the RIMS land will be safe and there will be no possibility of encroachment in future. At the same time, the local people demand that the convenience of the general public should also be kept in mind during the construction work.
