Overhead Wire Damaged On Dhanbad-Gaya Railway Route...Most Trains Including Netaji, Mumbai Mail, Jodhpur And Doon Got Stuck For Hours.

Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. Due to a technical fault in the overhead wire on the Dhanbad-Gaya railway route, the wheels of trains remained stopped for hours. Howrah-Kalka Netaji Express, which departed from Dhanbad, remained stuck for about three and a quarter hours, Howrah-Mumbai Mail for one and a quarter hour, Howrah-Jodhpur Express for one and a half hour, Howrah-Yog Nagari Rishikesh Doon Express for about three and a quarter hours at different stations including Koderma.

Many other trains including Doon Express going from Yoga city Rishikesh to Howrah also remained halted. Passengers remained troubled due to trains not running from late night till morning. Later, the railway personnel who arrived in the inspection vehicle repaired the overhead wire, after which the railway service was restored. This was the second incident of overhead wire failure in two days. Earlier on Wednesday morning, other trains including Dhanbad-Ranchi Intercity were affected due to tripping of overhead wire on Dhanbad-Chandrapura railway route.
