CM Nitish Kumar's Claim: Bihar Will Become A Prosperous State In The Next Five Years, Got Support From The Centre.

State Bureau, Patna. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that the state is developing rapidly due to the continuous help from the Central Government. In the next five years, Bihar will join the ranks of prosperous states of the country. He was speaking in favor of the motion of thanks presented on the Governor's address in both houses of the Bihar Legislature on Thursday.

The motion of thanks was passed by voice vote amid opposition. The Chief Minister also thanked the Central Government and especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their contribution in the development of the state. Said that when his government was formed in the state in the year 2005, the law and order situation was very bad. Common people did not come out of their homes after evening out of fear. He established the rule of law. Made efforts for the welfare of the general public. Today, there has been a lot of development in law and order, education, health, agriculture, industry and other areas. The number of hospitals and government medical colleges has increased and free treatment is provided to common citizens.

The Chief Minister said that special efforts will be made to provide jobs and employment opportunities in the next five years. For this, new industries will be established. An industrial area is being built in every district. He said that the government has done a lot of work in the field of women empowerment. Fifty percent seats have been reserved for women in Panchayats and urban bodies.

Now even in government jobs, women are getting the benefit of 35 percent reservation. He assured the House that the government is seriously looking at those measures which will make the life of common people easier. Modern technology and good administration will make life of common people easier.

The Chief Minister said that the decision to erect boundary walls of cemeteries was taken in 2006. In 2016, it was decided that boundary walls of 60 year old temples would also be built. This was done to prevent theft in temples. Employed teachers have also been made government teachers. Three lakh 68 thousand employed teachers are being made government teachers by taking a minor examination on behalf of Bihar Public Service Commission. After four examinations, now only 28987 employed teachers are left. Examination is being organized for them also.

Nitish said that in 2018 itself, the government had achieved the target of electricity for every household. Now free electricity is being provided to domestic consumers. There is a plan to install solar panels in every house. The amount of social security pension has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1100. Jeevika Didis have been given Rs 10,000 each for employment. If the employment goes well, Rs 2 lakh more will be given.

The Chief Minister said that in 2020, the government had decided to provide jobs to 10 lakh people and employment to 10 lakh people. Till now 10 lakh people have been given jobs. Employment opportunities have been provided to 40 lakh people. A target has been set to provide jobs and employment to one crore people in the next five years.
