A young man who was learning to drive a car crushed a 9 year old innocent boy.

Jagran correspondent, Bettiah. Nine-year-old Sagar Kumar, resident of East Kargahiya ward number 31 of Mufassil police station area, died after being hit by a car on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place at Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College campus at 01 pm. It is said that a person was learning to drive a car.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle suddenly went out of control and hit the child who was playing. Deceased Sagar Kumar was the second son of his father Sikandar Ram.

The family went out for Jalabhishek in Shiva temple

It is said that he had gone to play in the college campus in the afternoon. Here, the father of the deceased present in the hospital told that the entire family had gone out for Jalabhishek in the Shiva temple. Meanwhile, local people informed that their son was hit by a car and he was sent to the hospital.

When the relatives reached the hospital, Sagar's body was found lying there. As soon as the news of the incident was received, there was chaos in the family. The relatives have alleged that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. However, the police have started investigation in this regard.

Driver detained and interrogated

Mufassil Police Station Head Samrat Singh said that the car has been seized and the driver is being detained and interrogated. Meanwhile, hospital block in-charge Madan Kumar Manjhi said that the body has been handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. Legal action will be taken by the concerned police station.

According to village sources, Sagar was the second among three brothers and four sisters. The elder brother is Badal (14 years) and the younger brother is Shivdhan (5 years), while all four sisters are older than him. Father Sikandar Ram supports the family by running a cart. Due to the untimely death of the innocent child, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family.
