State Bureau, Patna. Bihar News: Two new schemes will be implemented by the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department in the financial year 2026-27.
The first scheme will be implemented by the department to promote inter-caste marriage scheme in the state. At present, an incentive amount of Rs 1 lakh is given by the Social Welfare Department on inter-caste marriage.
Currently, an incentive amount of Rs 1 lakh is given by the Social Welfare Department.
But, there is also a proposal from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department to implement the inter-caste marriage scheme from the financial year 2026-27.
The department is thinking deeply about this. Under this scheme, Rs 2.5 lakh will be given as incentive to those who marry inter-caste.
SC-ST students of Bihar going abroad will get scholarship
The second scheme from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department is related to giving scholarship to SC-ST students of Bihar going abroad.
The department has also discussed this scheme with the Central Government. Under the National Overseas Scheme, scholarships will be provided to Scheduled and Scheduled Tribe students of Bihar going abroad.
Under this scheme, a proposal has been made to the Central Government to provide scholarship to SC-ST students of Bihar going abroad. On which the Union Minister has expressed his consent.
