Jagran correspondent, Dankaur (Greater Noida). After the death of Yuvraj Mehta in Noida, Kamal Dhyani and Birju in Delhi, the negligence of the officials who were sleeping in Kumbhakarni sleep took the life of a three-year old innocent child on Sunday. In fact, a three-year-old child who had come to Bhandara in Dalelgarh village died after falling into a pit built by the mining mafia while playing. The villagers had already written a letter to the Noida Authority requesting them to take action regarding the possible danger of that pit. The officials buried that letter in the file itself. Today the result is in front of everyone.

If in doubt, run towards the pit

After some time of the incident, the relatives came to know about the matter. After a lot of effort the villagers searched for the child and took him out of the pit. After this he was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Villagers say that about one and a half months ago, a written complaint was lodged with the Greater Noida Authority, expressing the fear of an accident due to waterlogging.

The list of accidents continues to grow

The poor working style of government departments is not improving even after many accidents. Even after the death of young engineer Yuvraj Mehta in Noida, the careless administration officials are not ready to take notice. Recently, after the negligence of the officers was exposed, a 25-year-old youth, Kamal Dhyani, died after falling into a deep pit built by Delhi Jal Board in Janakpuri. In the same sequence, on February 3, 70-year-old woman Babli got injured after falling into an open pit in West Vinod Nagar of East Delhi due to the negligence of Delhi Jal Board. At the same time, on February 3, a worker died after falling into an open DDA drain built along the road in Rohini Sector-32.

The villagers allege that despite a written complaint, the problem was not taken seriously by the concerned authorities and the child died on Sunday. On the other hand, according to the authority, the land on which the pit is located is the farmer's own land. In such a situation, the authority cannot take any action on that land. Police say that the victim's relatives have refused to get the post-mortem done on the body.

Came to Bhandara with mother

Anjali, daughter of Anil, resident of Dalelgarh, was married a few years ago in Sapoli village of Secunderabad area. Just a few days ago, she had come to the village with her three-year-old son Devansh. On Sunday, a Bhandara was organized at the village temple where the child had gone with his mother. While playing he suddenly fell into a pit.

After some time, when the mother did not see the child, a search was started. Later it was speculated that the child might be in water. After a lot of effort, the villagers searched the child out of the pit and took him to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Mining mafia made many pits

Advocate Amit Bhati, a resident of the village, said that many years ago, big and deep pits have been made near the temple by the mining mafia, which are filled with water. On January 4, he along with the villagers had given a written complaint to the Greater Noida Authority and expressed the apprehension of something untoward.

They allege that the villagers' complaint was not taken seriously by the authority, due to which the child lost his life. Kotwali in-charge Munendra Singh says that there is a pond near the temple, in which the child died after falling. The post-mortem of the dead body has not been done by the victim's relatives.

"On receiving information about the death of a three-year-old innocent child due to drowning in the water filled in a pit near the temple in Dalelgarh village, the team of the concerned work circle of the authority immediately reached the spot. The team came to know that this land is registered in the name of a farmer of the village itself. It is not a government pond. The pit was filled with water on this very land, due to which the child died due to drowning. The officials of the authority are also deeply saddened by this incident."
