As soon as Pakistan's last wicket fell and India's victory was announced, the atmosphere of the city changed. Every direction was filled with the echo of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', people took to the streets and the night turned into a festival of lights. A crowd gathered at the clock tower to celebrate.
Along with this, groups of youth were seen passing on bikes and cars holding the tricolor on the streets chanting Bharat Mata. The entire city was bathed in the colorful lights of fireworks.
Although the passion for cricket runs high among the people of Doon, but when the match is between India and Pakistan, then the enthusiasm reaches the seventh heaven. Anyway, everyone was eagerly waiting for this high-voltage match.
When Sunday evening started late at seven o'clock, the pace of the city seemed to have stopped. Whether it was homes, markets or business establishments, wherever they got a chance, people sat glued to the TV set. Be it children, elders or women, everyone was seen enjoying the match.
After defeating Pakistan last time in the World Cup, everyone was assuming that this time also Team India will defeat Pakistan. Same thing happened and late at night when Suryakumar's army won over Pakistan, people started dancing happily on the streets.
