State Bureau, Ranchi. Accused Vijay Pratap Singh, chargesheeted by the ACB a day earlier in the scam of 2.75 acres of Khasmahal land in Hazaribagh, has property in seven states.
Apart from Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ranchi of Jharkhand, this property is in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and other states. ACB is collecting information about all those properties.

The ACB had registered a preliminary investigation (PE) in the Khasmahal land scam in 2015. During preliminary investigation, ACB got information that 2.75 acres of Khasmahal land of Hazaribagh was given on lease to Sevayat Trust for 30 years in 1948.
The lease expired in 1978 and was renewed until 2008. Between 2008-10, as part of a well-planned conspiracy, this land was declared government land and allotted to 23 private individuals. The then Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh was Vinay Kumar Choubey.
