Jagran correspondent, Rohtak. The team of State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ambala has arrested Manoj Kumar, Chief Chemist of The Haryana Sugar Mills, Bhali Anandpur, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 2,50,000. The accused was caught from Sunaria Road, Rohtak.
According to the Bureau, complainant Ranjit Singh, resident of Deoria (Uttar Pradesh), had alleged that the accused had demanded Rs 2.50 lakh in return for releasing the payment of the bill of his firm RA Contractor, showing the quality of sugar as 25-26 ICUMSA and showing better performance of the firm. On the basis of the complaint, action was taken by laying a trap and the accused was caught taking bribe in the presence of independent witnesses.
