Communication partner, Dankaur. The police have arrested an accused resident of Chachula village for misusing the dial number 112 meant for emergency call services. It is alleged that in about a month the accused had harassed the police by making false calls 143 times.
According to the police, a case was registered against the accused Pradeep on Sunday evening on the complaint of District Incharge of Dial 112 service Satyaveer Singh. Investigation revealed that during the month of March last year, the accused had called 143 times asking for help without any kind of emergency. Police teams reached the spot on each call, but no emergency was found there.
Upon thorough investigation of the call records and complaints, all the information was found to be baseless. At the end of the year, a list of victims was made at the emergency services control room, in which it was found that most of the calls had been made by Pradeep.
Taking this into consideration, the matter was investigated and it was found that the accused had wasted police resources and time by calling without any reason. Whereas during this period other needy people could have got better facilities. Kotwali in-charge Munendra Singh says that after the case was registered, the accused was arrested and presented in the court on Monday.
