Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. RMC has intensified action against illegal encroachment and encroachment on government and corporation land in the corporation area. In this sequence, on Friday, measurement and demarcation work of government land, main road, shops and buildings was done in Bandhgari area under Ward No. 06.
This action was taken jointly by the real estate cell of the Municipal Corporation and the officials of the concerned zonal office. Municipal Corporation officials said that the purpose of this action is to gather clear and factual information about the encroached area, so that the further legal process can be carried forward effectively.
Three buildings and one boundary are illegal
During the measurement, plot number 537, account number 169, total area of 2.02 acres of government land was duly demarcated. During demarcation, it was found that three buildings and a boundary wall have been constructed illegally on the said government land.
The officials have marked all these in the category of encroachment. The Municipal Corporation has compiled the relevant documents and started the process of further action. Apart from this, instructions have been given to the concerned zonal personnel to submit reports to provide detailed information related to other plots located nearby.
It has also been said that in the areas where measurement is still partially done, the demarcation work will be completed soon, so that no confusion remains.
Campaign will be run in wards also
Municipal Corporation officials have made it clear that any kind of encroachment on government land will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict legal action will be taken against individuals or institutions violating the rules.
The Municipal Corporation has also indicated that a similar demarcation and removal of encroachment campaign will be conducted in other wards in the coming days.
This action of the Municipal Corporation has created panic among the illegal encroachers, while the local people have welcomed the initiative of the Corporation. People say that complaints of encroachment on government land were being made for a long time, but only now it seems that concrete action is being taken on it. The Municipal Corporation has also appealed to the common people not to encroach on government land illegally and if there is any information about encroachment, then inform the corporation, so that action can be taken in time.
