Adampur team registered victory in the inaugural match
Samvad Sahayak, Jagran, Kundahit (Jamtara): A five-day cricket tournament was organized by Naudiha Youth Club of Kundahit block. On Sunday, JMM District Secretary Paresh Yadav inaugurated the game. The inaugural match was played between Vikrampur team and Adampur team of West Bengal. After winning the toss, Adampur team scored 90 runs in 10 overs, whereas Vikrampur team was all out for 82 runs in 5.2 overs. 16 teams from nearby villages also participated enthusiastically in the cricket tournament.
On this successful event, District Secretary Paresh Yadav, MLA representative Sharam Mandal and other villagers said that such sports events keep the youth away from drugs and bad habits. Discipline, team spirit and leadership abilities develop in the youth. He said that through cricket tournament, village players have got a better platform to showcase their talent. Hundreds of sports lovers including club president Murtaza Khan, Zakir, Sekh Riyaul and Rajeev Mandal were present on the occasion.
