Digital Desk, New Delhi. The bruises on President Donald Trump's hands have been a topic of discussion for months. These rumors gained further momentum during his visit to the World Economic Forum this week.
A large scar was visible on the President's left palm at the signing ceremony of his new 'Board of Peace' on January 22. This mark became a topic of discussion because earlier this injury was seen on his right hand.
What is the mark on Trump's hands?
Several photos from the event in Davos, Switzerland, showed a large, blue, round scar beneath the index and middle finger of Trump's left hand.
Since February last year, pictures of Trump with a large blue mark on his right wrist had gone viral several times. Sometimes a patch of makeup was also visible in the photographs.
White House cleaning on the mark
White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt, speaking on this speculation for the first time, said, 'President Trump has blue marks on his hands because he works continuously. He keeps shaking hands all day every day.
He also said at that time, 'President Trump is a man of the common people. His commitment is strong and he proves it every day.
Then, in July 2025, White House doctor Sean Barbabella explained in detail about the president's blue marks. He wrote that this is due to minor soft tissue irritation due to frequent handshake and use of aspirin.
How much truth is there in the handshake thing?
Now the mark visible on his hand is also a topic of discussion because the issue of handshake does not apply to the mark of injury seen at the World Economic Forum, because Trump works with his straight hand and is almost always seen shaking hands with his straight hand.
Speaking to a CBS News reporter on Thursday, Leavitt offered a new reason for the bruise on Trump's left hand. He said, 'Today at the Board of Peace event in Davos, President Trump's hand collided with the corner of the signing table, causing an injury.'
Which disease is Trump suffering from?
Recently, Trump talked about the use of aspirin in an interview with The Wall Street Journal titled, 'As signs of aging appear, Trump is responding with nonchalance.'
He told the publication that the blue marks were because he was taking more aspirin than his doctors advised, because he is superstitious.
Trump said, 'Doctors say aspirin is good for thinning the blood, I don't want thick blood flowing in my heart. I want nice, thin blood to flow in my heart. Is this understandable?'
The WSJ report also claims that Trump's closest advisors have noticed that his skin is becoming thinner.
Referring to one incident, it is reported that his current Attorney General, Pam Bondi, gave him a high-five at the 2024 Republican National Convention, at which time he was wearing a ring, due to which his hand started bleeding.
"The ring hit the back of my hand, causing a slight cut," Trump told the outlet.
