Jagran correspondent, Hardoi. A woman was assaulted and her pet dog was abandoned over a property dispute. The woman alleges that an attempt was made to murder her by locking her inside the house, but her innocent five-year-old daughter saved her life.
Despite being injured, the girl ran about 200 meters to reach the police station and brought the police to the spot. The police caught the two accused who attacked the woman on the spot, and the mother's life was saved.
Pooja Srivastava of Numaish Purva of Kotwali city area is having a dispute with her maternal uncle Vinod Srivastava regarding the ancestral house of her late husband Abhishek Srivastava. On February 1, Pooja had filed a case of assault and cheating against Vinod, his wife Sanju and son Utkarsh.
The allegation was that a fake deed of sale was made to grab the property. When Pooja returned home with her five-year-old daughter Yashi on Saturday evening, pressure was applied for a compromise. When she protested, first the pet dog was released on Yashi, injuring her, and then Pooja was brutally beaten.
During this time Yashi showed courage. Despite being frightened and injured, she went straight to the police station and narrated the entire incident to the policemen. The police immediately became active and reached the spot with the girl, where Vinod and Utkarsh were arrested.
Medical examination of the mother and daughter was done and a case has been registered and legal action is being taken. Innocent Yashi's bravery averted a major disaster and his wisdom saved his mother's life.
Kotwal Sanjay Tyagi told that Pooja Srivastava and Vinod are having a long standing dispute regarding property. An FIR has been registered regarding the incident that took place on Saturday evening. Police is taking further action.
