Due to low visibility, there was difficulty in safe operation of flights.

Jagran correspondent, Chandigarh. After Indigo Airlines' recent operational crisis at Chandigarh airport, the weather has now created a new problem. On Monday, two flights operating from the airport were affected due to fog, which had to be canceled due to security reasons.

According to airport officials, Indigo flight number 6E7721 from Chandigarh to Dharamshala and 6E760 from Chandigarh to Delhi were canceled due to fog. Visibility in the sky had reduced on Monday, due to which safe operation of these flights was not possible.

Although operation of many other flights is said to be normal, but this sudden change in weather conditions has made it clear that air traffic may be affected due to fog in the coming days.

The airport administration has appealed to the passengers to check the flight status from their airlines before travelling. The Meteorological Department has also predicted mist and fog in the morning and late night for the next few days.
