Jagran correspondent, Shimla. Another controversy has come to light after Sanjauli Masjid in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Three mosques have been constructed on government land in Nerwa of the district. Hindu Raksha Manch said this during a press conference in Shimla. President of the forum Kamal Gautam said that Tehsildar Nerwa has given this information in response to the information sought in RTI. He said that among these, one mosque is in Mulshak, one in Janog and one in Bhabia. The officials themselves have admitted that two Rehman Mosques and one Bilal Mosque have been constructed on government land. Hindu Raksha Manch President Kamal Gautam, while holding a press conference in Shimla, has demanded immediate action from the district administration. We are also going to submit a memorandum in this regard to the district administration. Kamal Gautam said that all this is happening as part of a well-planned conspiracy.
People demonstrated in Nerva in 2024
Earlier also on September 2024, the local people of Nerva had protested on a large scale against illegal construction. He said that demography is being deliberately changed in the state. He said that mosques and tombs are being constructed at different places across the state by grabbing government land.
He said that if Hindu Raksha Manch has to take to the streets again to protest against illegal construction, then they are ready for it.
Amendment in section 118 cannot be tolerated
Hindu Raksha Manch has opposed the tinkering with Section 118. Forum President Kamal Gautam said that the government is playing with the interests of the Hindus of the state. He said that any change of any kind with Section 118 will not be tolerated. Even if Hindu Raksha Manch has to protest for this, they will not step back from it.
Targeted at opposition also
The forum also raised questions on the role of the opposition. He said that even outside the Assembly, the proposed amendment was not opposed in the way it should have been opposed by the opposition. He has also submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Governor through the District Magistrate.

Collusion of government ministers also
He said that some government ministers are also complicit in this. Preparations are underway to sell 500 Kanal land in district Kangra, similarly many other issues have also come to the notice of Hindu Raksha Manch, Raksha Manch believes that this will also impact the demography of the state in the future.
