AIIMS Scientists Became Victims Of Fraud In Delhi, Fraud Worth Lakhs In The Name Of Selling Land

Jagran correspondent, South Delhi. A case of selling land to a scientist working in AIIMS on the basis of fake documents has come to light. The victim scientist showed caution and got the documents examined. When the truth came to light, the matter was reported to the police.

Even before this, in November 2025, the accused had sold another person's land in Shantikunj area to the victim scientist for Rs 60 lakh, claiming it as his own, with the help of fake documents. In that case, the police have registered an FIR in Vasant Kunj South police station and are investigating.

According to the information received, Dr. Nikhil Kumar lives with his family in Maidangarhi Extension. He is working as a scientist in AIIMS. In the complaint given to the police, he told that he had to buy a land to build his house. For this, he contacted a person named Bharat Singh through one of his acquaintances.

Bharat Singh showed him a place in an expensive area of ​​Delhi and finalized the deal for Rs 60 lakh. The victim gave them the money. Later it came to light that the land given to them did not belong to Bharat Singh but to some other person. The victim reported the matter to the police.

Vasant Kunj South police station registered an FIR on the complaint and started investigation. During this time, the victim received a call from Sukhdev Tanwar, son of Bharat Singh, who proposed to give him another place in exchange of Rs 60 lakh. Dr. Nikhil was shown the place and asked to prepare documents in his name.

The accused threatened to kill

Meanwhile, when the victim checked the land documents, he found that this land also did not belong to the accused and the ownership of this land was also in the name of some other person. When the victim called Sukhdev Tanwar and gave this information, the accused started threatening him and threatening to kill him if he did not return the FIR.

After which the victim also complained about this matter to the police. Vasanjkunj South police station has started investigating the case.
