All is not well between Babar Azam and Steve Smith
Sports Desk, New Delhi. Steve Smith has been in the news for the last few days. The reason for this is his refusal to take a single to Big Bash League (BBL) Pakistan batsman Babar Azam. Babar got a lot of trouble on social media regarding this matter. He was also seen getting angry about this. The matter even came to the fore that all is not well between Smith and Babar. Now Steve Smith has broken his silence regarding this.
Both play for Sydney Sixers in BBA. While chasing runs in the match played against Sydney Thunder, Smith refused to take a single from Babar. Smith had scored a century in this match and led his team to victory. But this match was much discussed due to not scoring runs between Babar and Smith.
Everything is not right with Babar and Smith!
Before the match against Brisbane Heat, Smith was asked by broadcaster Isha Guha about Babar and him. Guha asked, "Did you and Babar become friends?" To this Smith said, "We are good friends. We were talking before the match. He batted well in the last match. We had a good partnership. We were also talking about golf. It is a good wicket. He is ready for the match. I hope we get a good start."
This was the whole matter
This incident was of the 11th over of the innings of Sydney Sixers. Moore Park was bowling and Babar played the last ball of his over towards the log on. Babar wanted to take runs, but Smith refused. Babar looked very angry about this. Smith hit sixes in the next over.
