The mother of suspended Sub Inspector Anuj Kumar, who has been missing for almost three months, has accused his wife of kidnapping and killing her son for the sake of property. The police will now investigate this complaint along with the already registered case of kidnapping. The CO of Sikanderau, who is investigating the case, has sent notice twice to the sub-inspector's relatives for DNA testing, but the reply has not been received yet.
Anuj Kumar, a native of Avantika Colony of Kavinagar area of Ghaziabad and Sub Inspector posted in Aligarh Police Line, lived with his family on rent in Dhanipur Mandi Prabhat Nagar Colony of Mahuakheda area. The then SSP Sanjeev Suman was suspended on September 17 after his complaint regarding negligence and absenteeism was found to be true.
There was also an allegation of misbehavior with the police. When the Sub Inspector was asked to present his side, no satisfactory response was received over the phone. The sub inspector went missing the same day. On September 26, his mother Sushila met SSP Neeraj Jadaun and gave a letter apologizing for her son's misbehavior with the police and demanding his recovery.
Police had announced a reward of Rs 50 thousand
After this, the police announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for the person searching for it. Then the sub inspector's mother complained to the government and the High Court. In which other allegations including indecency were made against Mahuakheda police. On which the DIG transferred the investigation to Hathras.
On Thursday, the Sub Inspector's mother gave a letter to the SSP accusing the daughter-in-law, her two sisters and the father of kidnapping and murder to grab the property. CO Bannadevi Kamlesh Kumar told that a case of kidnapping of Sub Inspector has already been registered, this investigation will be included in the same. On September 17, GRP Aligarh found the dead body near Dawood Khan. The body was found on the same day Anuj went missing. At that time the body was cremated in unknown condition. The goods are safe. According to the police, the sub-inspector was wearing a striped shirt. The items found from the unidentified body match those described by the relatives. The dead body could be that of Anuj.
Sikanderau CO JN Asthana, who is investigating the case, said that notices have been given twice to the sub-inspector's relatives for DNA testing of the body, but the reply has not been received yet. Contact will be made and efforts will be made to complete it soon.
