As soon as the booking of tickets for Howrah-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express, running via Dhanbad, started, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the passengers. Starting from January 22, the tickets of this train went to the waiting list on the very first day, from which its popularity can be gauged. Amrit Bharat Express will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 18. As soon as ticket booking opened from Thursday, the seats were filled within no time and the waiting started. The fare of this train from Dhanbad to Anand Vihar has been fixed at Rs 650. The fare of Amrit Bharat Express, which operates only with sleeper and general coaches, is Rs 50 to 55 more than other mail, express and superfast trains. Despite this, a lot of attraction is being seen among the passengers regarding this new train.

However, in terms of time, it will be the most time consuming train running between Howrah to Delhi. While other trains cover the distance from Dhanbad to Delhi in 15.5 hours to 19.5 hours, Amrit Bharat Express will take 22 hours 45 minutes to cover this distance. There is also disappointment among the passengers of Dhanbad regarding the general quota in this train. A quota of only 20 general tickets has been fixed for Dhanbad, while 278 general tickets have been made available for Howrah. Despite this, there is enthusiasm among the passengers regarding Amrit Bharat Express.

Varanasi fare and time both are high

For Dhanbad to Varanasi fare from Amrit Bharat, you will have to pay Rs 305. In other trains it is only Rs 270 to 300. Ganga-Sutlej reaches Varanasi in 7:30 hours, Shabdbhedi in 7:05 hours and Howrah-Lalkuan in 7:00 hours. Amrit Bharat will take 7:45 hours. For Lucknow, you will have to pay Rs 460 instead of Rs 425 to Rs 440.
