Jagran correspondent, Amroha. The case of spending more than the permissible amount in the personal agricultural ponds of four farmers of Hasanpur block area is being investigated by BDO Hasanpur Vijay Saxena. But, on the contrary, he is trapped in it. The affidavits he had given to the officials in the first investigation have been changed in the re-investigation.
The officers are stunned after reviewing the investigation report. Taking the matter seriously, PD DRDA Ambarish Kumar has sought his reply but till now he has not given any satisfactory answer. If he does not respond soon, the PD has said that he will write a letter to the government for departmental action against him.
Under the MNREGA scheme, the then BDO of Hasanpur block had dug personal agricultural ponds of four people. In this, Rs 387490 were spent on the construction of agricultural pond (farm pond) in the farm of Galsua village resident Abrar, Rs 365553 on the construction of pond in Furkan's farm, Rs 261648 on the construction of pond in Istikaar's farm, Rs 373426 were spent on the construction of pond in the farm of Harish in Dhaka village, whereas the permissible amount for each agricultural pond was Rs 2 lakh.
All four ponds were to be dug for Rs 8 lakh but Rs 13,88,117 lakh was spent. Excess expenditure of Rs 5,88,117 was incurred on the works. This is being investigated by the present Hasanpur BDO. Earlier, after investigation, he had sent the report to PD DRDA, but due to lack of satisfactory report, PD returned it. After this the BDO has again sent the investigation report to him.
During its observation, it was revealed that the affidavits were separate in the first investigation and separate in the second. In this, efforts have been made to save the then BDO. Spending more money than permissible is a big deal. Therefore PD DRDA has sought clarification from Hasanpur BDO. If they don't give it, action will be recommended against them.
BDO Hasanpur has changed the affidavit filed in the first investigation in the second. Why is this done by them? Answer has been sought. If clarification is not given, a letter will be written to the government for departmental action against them.
