Jagran correspondent, Firozabad. Five people got burnt due to leakage in the gas cylinder while cooking. The incident that took place at 6 pm on Wednesday evening in Halpura village of Matesna created chaos. Hearing the screams, people nearby reached and somehow took out the cylinder. The burnt people were sent to the trauma center by ambulance. He is undergoing treatment there.
Dinesh Kumar, resident of village Halpura, works as a labourer. On Wednesday evening, his wife Renu was cooking food on the gas cylinder. 16-year-old daughter Deepti, six-year-old grandson Ganesh, son's sister-in-law 16-year-old Bhavana, resident of Jaswantnagar, Etawah and her sister 24-year-old Chandni were sitting nearby. Then a fire broke out due to leakage in the cylinder pipe.
When the flame spread, people sitting nearby also got burnt. When there was a scream, the people of the village came running. Somehow the fire was extinguished by putting a wet cloth on it. Police reached the spot on information. The burnt people were sent to the government trauma center by ambulance. Where everyone's condition is said to be stable.
On receiving the information, Tehsildar Ajay Kumar went to the hospital to inquire about the condition of the burn victims. Police station incharge Vimilesh Tripathi said that five people including a mother and daughter were burnt due to leakage in the cylinder. Everyone has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
