In view of the festival, the arrival of fruits has also increased in the new fruit and vegetable market located in Sahibabad. Traders are bringing dates from Azadpur market and selling them. Apart from this, there was more shopping in the market for Sehri and Roza Iftar. In these, vermicelli, kurta-pajama and other products were also sold.
Apart from dates, arrival of oranges, grapes and apples has also increased in Sahibabad fruit and vegetable market. Market Secretary Sunil Kumar Sharma said that the arrival of oranges is more from Nagpur. Of these, two to three more vehicles have increased. In view of the season and festival, retail traders have been coming to the market since morning for shopping.
Apart from this, one to two cartloads of apples and grapes have also increased. People are purchasing dates the most. Saudi and Iranian dates are available in the market but most of them are arriving from Azadpur market. Wholesale businessman Aamir said that dates are available from Rs 150 to Rs 2,000 per kg. Their demand doubles during the entire month of Ramadan.
