The meter is being installed by the contractor, but the armored cable is not being provided. Not only this, smart meters are also being installed by replacing the meters. Due to collusion between the contractor and the department, consumers are not getting the benefits of government schemes. The responsible department and consumers are being defrauded of lakhs of rupees.
This issue can be seen everywhere in the Electricity Department Farenda area.
