England announced 12-member team

Sports Desk, New Delhi. The England cricket team has announced its 12-member squad for the fifth and last Test match to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The last Test of the series will start from January 4, which will also be the last Test match of Australia's opening batsman Usman Khawaja. England has already lost the series and is now trying to save its honor somehow.

Australia has won the series by winning the first three matches. England opened its account by winning the fourth match. England will try to get another win in the fifth match so that they can end the Australia tour in a slightly better position with a win.

England and Wales Cricket Board has included Shoaib Bashir in the 12-member team. Apart from him, Matthew Potts has also come into the team who will probably replace Gus Atkinson. Atkinson has been ruled out of the fifth Test due to a hamstring problem. He went out limping in the fourth Test match played in Melbourne. After this, he underwent scans for two days which revealed that he had a muscle injury.

England had won in Melbourne and this was their first win in Australia since 2011. This test was over in just two days and due to this the pitch was heavily criticized.

Before England, Australia has also announced the team before the last Test match. Australia has selected a 15-man team, Pat Cummins has been rested and once again Steve Smith will be seen captaining. Everyone's attention is on whether Khawaja will get a place in the playing-11 or not. Khawaja told on Friday that he will say goodbye to international cricket after the Sydney Test.
