State Bureau, New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is constantly monitoring the work of the Delhi government. Prominent people associated with the Delhi government are also meeting them from time to time and giving information about the activities of Delhi.
In this sequence, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta met Prime Minister Modi on Friday. This was their first meeting after the formation of BJP government in Delhi. During this, Gupta informed him about the work being done in the Assembly.
Gupta, during his meeting at the Prime Minister's Office in Parliament House, presented to the Prime Minister a coffee table book titled 'Presentation Centenary of Delhi Legislative Assembly – Yatra, Veer Vitthalbhai Patel', which is dedicated to the first Indian elected Speaker of the Central Legislative Assembly, Veer Vitthalbhai Patel. This book presents a historical document of India's parliamentary journey from 1925 to 2025. Giving information regarding the book, Gupta told the Prime Minister that this table book is a comprehensive compilation of India's century-long parliamentary and democratic development journey. It includes rare archival photographs, historical documents and important events that shaped the course of Indian democracy over the last hundred years.
During the courtesy call, Gupta informed the Prime Minister about everything from Audit Para Monitoring System to National e-Vidhan Application (Neva). Through which Delhi Assembly has been transformed into a completely digital and paperless house.
