State Bureau, Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to the statue of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Lok Bhavan on Thursday. He paid tribute to Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya and Raja Bijli Pasi on their birth anniversary and also congratulated them on Christmas.
Yogi said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee, while serving as the Prime Minister as the MP from Lucknow, gave a new vision to the development of the country. His birth centenary festival is being organized across the country. Atal ji represented Uttar Pradesh in Parliament for the longest time.
Yogi said that today is also the birth anniversary of the great nationalist leader, freedom fighter and founder of Kashi Hindu University, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. He was awarded 'Bharat Ratna' for his services.
Paying tribute to Maharaja Bijli Pasi, the CM said that he had uprooted the roots of foreign rulers to keep the eternal tradition of India intact. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, Legislative Council member Govind Narayan Shukla etc. were present.
