Vice President CP Radhakrishnan described former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a unique symbol of national policy, good governance and inclusive development. Said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee kept good governance and nation building paramount throughout his political career. His personality was not limited to politics, rather it was the embodiment of an idea and mission of nation building. He is not only a leader of his time but also a guiding light for the coming generations.
He said these things in the 'Shunya Se Shikhar Tak' program organized by Atal Foundation in Indore on Sunday on the occasion of the birth centenary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said that Atal ji considered linguistic diversity to be the strength of India and his respect was universal in the entire country including Tamil Nadu. Dravid always opposed Hindi, but after seeing Atal ji speaking in Parliament, Tamil Nadu politician Annadurai had said that if Hindi is spoken the way Atal ji speaks, then we will not oppose it.
What did the Governor and Chief Minister say?
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that Atal ji's life was like a book, each page of which shows the path of morality, excellence and nationalism. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Atal ji was the pinnacle of national policy, the enemy of politics and a symbol of the dignity of Indian democracy. On December 25, the bhoomi pujan and inauguration program of industrial investment worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore will be dedicated to Atal ji in Gwalior.

In the programme, poet Satyanarayan Sattan, former Union Minister Satyanarayan Jatiya, former selector of Indian cricket team selection committee Sanjay Jagdale and Parang Shukla of Sagar, famous for cow and human service, were honored with Atal Alankaran. Former Speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan, State Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Tulsiram Silavat, MP Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava were also present.
