The expert doctors of the city made people aware in this way under the concern of healthy society. A program was organized on Wednesday under the Prahar campaign on AMR by Dainik Jagran and IMA in collaboration with Bhojpuri Awadhi Samaj.
In the program, retired senior medical officer of ESI Dispensary, Dr. Rekha Mishra said that many people take antibiotics voluntarily in order to recover quickly. When you get a little better, you stop taking the medicine. This carelessness later becomes a headache. Dr. Rekha Mishra made aware that in case of minor diseases like fever, cough and cold, the disease can be avoided by paying attention to the diet and following the doctor's advice.
It is better to avoid taking anti-biotic medicines. Many patients stop taking the medicine once they get better. He answered many questions related to medicine. Dr. Vikas Atwal of ESIC Medical College said that we have to be aware now. If delayed, the use of antibiotics can cause major problems in the society. He advised to avoid antibiotics. Said not to become addicted to antibiotics.
Chairman of the society, Ramakant Tiwari suggested that the government should issue a helpline, through which people can get information about the use of the medicine. Health Department Supervisor Subhash Gehlot said that many such patients are coming, who first took antibiotics of their own free will and later became vulnerable to many diseases.
