Jagran correspondent, Amritsar. The house of a young man was attacked by some people in Mahal village under Attari assembly constituency of Amritsar. Victim Mandeep Singh has alleged that some drug selling youths attacked and vandalized his house.

According to Mandeep Singh, some youths in his locality used to sell drugs openly and roam around in the streets in an intoxicated state. When he and his family protested against this and tried to stop such activities in the street. As a result of which the accused youth started keeping a grudge against them.

Due to this rivalry, 5 to 6 youths united and attacked Mandeep Singh's house. In which goods worth lakhs have been vandalized.

Police arrived to investigate after the incident.

The accused entered the house by breaking the door

It is alleged that the attackers entered the house by breaking the main door. After this they started breaking the items kept in the house. The attackers reached the upper floor of the house and also damaged the household items kept there. During this period, a Bullet motorcycle, Activa scooter, other motorcycles, three LCD TVs and a computer were completely broken.

The family has suffered a financial loss of lakhs of rupees in this attack. Some family members are also reported to have suffered injuries.

The family is in panic after seeing the attack

Mandeep Singh's wife Simran Kaur told that her entire family is in panic because of opposing the drug sellers. He said that the accused youth often roam around the house on bullets and scooters, due to which they have become afraid to even step out of the house.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Police officials said that CCTV footage has been obtained from the incident site, in which some attackers are clearly visible.

Investigation into the case started

Police say that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and soon the accused will be arrested and strict legal action will be taken against them. The victim's family has demanded immediate security from the administration and strict punishment to the culprits.
