Attempt To Grab Property Through Fake Death Certificate In Gorakhpur, One Accused Arrested

Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. AIIMS police on Wednesday arrested an accused who tried to grab property through fake death certificate. During interrogation, the accused has been identified as Gaya Prasad Yadav, resident of Jharna Tola, Teacher Colony. After interrogation, the police produced the accused in the court and sent him to jail. The police have also found the role of Municipal Corporation employees suspicious in the case of making fake certificates. The police will investigate that also.

Police station in-charge Sanjay Mishra said that Om Prakash Yadav, resident of Sonbah village of Rudrapur police station of Deoria district, had registered a case in this matter. It was alleged that with the intention of damaging the identity and property of his family, his Pattidars Yogendra Pratap Yadav and Gaya Prasad Yadav had issued a fake death certificate on April 12, 2019.

This fake death certificate was issued by the Municipal Corporation Gorakhpur, which was canceled after investigation on 14 December 2020. Despite this, the accused again issued a fake death certificate on 18 October 2020, which was also canceled by the Municipal Corporation on 13 April 2023.

The victim alleged that repeated attempts were made to destroy his identity and grab his property by preparing fake documents. In this case, Om Prakash Yadav had filed a case in AIIMS police station on November 20 against his Pattidars as well as the Municipal Corporation supervisor and other officials.

Police arrested Gaya Prasad Yadav on Wednesday while investigating the case. The search for the second accused is ongoing. Besides, the role of Municipal Corporation employees and officers in issuing fake certificates is also being thoroughly investigated.
