Jagran correspondent, Badaun. After the mining mafia who attacked ARTO was caught, the question arose that how did they enter and leave the district. Investigation revealed that there is a syndicate linked to the mining mafia whose members are in every district. After loading sand and gravel in trucks and leaving from Uttarakhand, the work of getting them removed is done by the members of this syndicate. For this, a car already runs in front of the trucks which keeps recce of ARTO, mining officer and other mobile teams.
During interrogation of the arrested accused, it was revealed that contractors are also associated with this syndicate, who buy and sell sand and gravel. These people have been active in the district for many years, but no action has ever been taken. After the attack on ARTO, now the police, mining department, ARTO and other mobile groups are keeping an eye on this syndicate.
Due to this, checking continued on Shahbad Road even on Friday. Due to which sand-gravel trucks did not enter the border of the district. On Thursday, ARTO Hariom Gautam along with his team was checking near Korera of Faizganj Behta police station area. Then the overloaded truck drivers coming from Uttarakhand somehow came to know that the checking was going on.
Truck drivers parked the trucks loaded with overloaded sand and gravel on their side. When ARTO Hariom Gautam caught them while returning, the truck driver ran away after handing over the paper to the ARTO. The drivers informed the mining mafia. ARTO sent its constable and driver to take the dumper to Faizganj Behta police station.
Meanwhile, the mining mafia stopped the ARTO and misbehaved with him and snatched the keys of the car. By the time the police arrived on the information of the ARTO, three mining mafias had fled, while the ARTO had caught one. In this case, an FIR was lodged against four people including Nasir, resident of Shivpuri village of Swar police station area of Rampur. Police are searching for other associates of Nasir.
During interrogation of Nasir, it was revealed that he used to bring sand and gravel in trucks. They help in removing the trucks coming from Uttarakhand and selling the sand and gravel. At present, the police have challaned Nasir and released him due to bailable sections. Police Station Head Rajkumar Singh has said that his gang members will be arrested soon and they will get to the bottom of the whole matter.
Sand and gravel come from Uttarakhand
The mining mafia of the district is connected to Uttarakhand. In the district, dozens of overloaded dumper trucks carrying sand-gravel, concrete and badrfoot enter Badaun border from Rampur border in the dark of night and from Aurchhi intersection, they go in all three directions Badaun Road, Islamnagar Road and Chandausi Road and deliver the goods at their place.
Reiki is done from vehicles
Mining mafias carry out Reiki in luxury cars in front of traco dumpers overloaded with sand from Uttarakhand. It is told that the location of the mining mafias doing Reiki is fixed and who has to do Reiki till where, after that another team does Reiki.

Some policemen and a driver posted at Asafpur outpost police have a good nexus with these mining mafias. Most of the area remains in the outpost for these mining mafias to take out their trucks and dumpers. Therefore, the mining mafia remains in touch with the outpost police, while some part of it till Aurchi remains in the police station area. Therefore, these mining mafias have a good nexus with a driver of the police station, who alerts these mining mafias by giving them information before leaving the vehicle.
Mafia runs many numbers and phones
Apart from personal numbers, policemen who are in collusion with the mining mafias have many other phones to talk to these mining mafias, so that if any officer traces their phones, they can easily escape.
