In Haryana's Palwal district, the courage of the illegal mining mafia has become so high that now they are not shying away from even carrying out deadly attacks on officers and police teams. The team of Mining Department and State Enforcement Bureau which went to investigate on the banks of river Yamuna was attacked by the mafia with axe, bricks and stones.
In this attack, the government vehicle was heavily damaged and the uniform of a policeman was also torn. The police have registered a case in the matter and started investigation.
According to the information, on Tuesday night, mining guards Amit Kumar, Sudhir Nara, Ravidutt and the Enforcement Bureau team were investigating towards Chandhat Yamuna Ghat. Meanwhile, he saw a highway truck full of sand coming. When the team stopped the truck and asked for the e-departure bill, the driver could not produce any document.
As soon as the team seized the truck and started taking it to the police station, 7-8 attackers in two-three vehicles arrived there. They were led by Raju alias Pidda, a resident of village Chandhat.
The attackers tried to force down the government employees sitting in the truck and had a scuffle with them. In this snatching, the uniform of a police employee got torn. The mafia started pelting stones at the government jeep.
One of the attackers had an ax in his hand and attacked the team with the intention of killing them. It was fortunate that the ax did not hit the employees and hit the government vehicle. If the team had not fled from the spot, a major disaster could have happened.
Chandhat police station has registered a case on the complaint of Assistant Mining Engineer Chandan Bhushan Tiwari.

During the attack, the team of the department, showing presence of mind, had made videos on mobile, which have been handed over to the police. Police is raiding to arrest the accused.
