Communication Associate, Daudnagar (Aurangabad). A total of 978 students are enrolled in the government run Narayan Inter School located in Shamsher Nagar, the largest panchayat of the block. The school teaches classes 9 to 12, but there are no teachers for many subjects. The biggest problem is that the school has no office.
Principal Amarendra Kumar Sinha said that a total of 11 rooms are available in the school, out of which one room is used as an office. A part of this room has been enclosed for other purposes. Two rooms are being used by teachers as classrooms. The office, which was a tile building, was demolished due to its dilapidation.
The school has written a letter to the department regarding the absence of an office, but the construction work of the office has not started yet. Recently, when the felicitation ceremony of Regional MLA Dr. Prakash Chandra, ex-officio Chairman of the School Education Committee, was organized here, the need for construction of an office was discussed, which has given hope.
The construction work of two rooms in this school started in June 2025, but the work has come to a standstill since July. The headmaster said that no information has been given about the progress of the construction work.
He said that there is no shortage of equipment and other resources, but due to shortage of rooms many problems are arising. The situation is so serious that students have to be examined on the art stage set up for a cultural programme.
Arts and science education in the same room
In the field of education, Arts and Science are two different faculties, whose system of study is also different. But the situation in Shamsher Nagar Inter School is that both arts and science are being taught in the same room.
Here musical instruments like tabla, harmonium and computers necessary for science studies are present together. Thus, along with learning the art of singing and playing, science is also being taught in the same room, which is a result of shortage of rooms.
